SSWM Updates Shareholders on Current Events
Pending Acquisition and Mexico Project Continue
CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--October 26, 2007--Bob Brehm, CEO of Sub-Surface Waste Management of Delaware, Inc. (OTC-BB: SSWM),
announced today that the company is continuing its project work in Torreon, Mexico with recurring maintenance tasks and also continues to pursue the outstanding Letter of Intent issued for the acquisition of the environmental trucking company. Unavoidable delays have been experienced and the current fire disaster situation in San Diego County has required the evacuation of employees from their homes and the evacuation of the trucking firm from its business location. The company plans to be back on track in early November when the current fire interruption is expected to subside and business returns to normal.
Brehm elaborated by stating, “We have experienced our own Katrina in San Diego County with the dislocation of over 500,000 people, downed utilities and corporate support personnel such as attorneys, employees and management spending time protecting their families as first priority. We continue to work on our project in Torreon and are also pursuing the acquisition. Unfortunately the trucking business in under mandatory evacuation orders which has taken the principals and their trucks out of town. We continue to review alternative options as a backup and have met with several other acquisition prospects over the past two weeks.”
Brehm concluded, “I do appreciate all the emails and calls from shareholders we have received over the past week regarding the health and safety of the company and its employees. The fire disaster was within several miles of the office and several employees were evacuated from their homes, but this fire was not as bad as the 2003 fires which burned many homes closer to the office. Management is drawing plans to reorganize and consolidate our operations on a local basis to pursue opportunities that may arise from the current local disaster.”
